Wow…This is the story everywhere now…Yes, the world is changing. And I suppose people like that are scared of the change because nobody knows what the future will bring…

I think that maybe some people just want to preserve their identity (which forms part of their national culture etc..) and therefore they don’t like immigrants coming in and changing stuff.

I’m all for national pride and identity, but I realise that the world which we inhabit has become a “global village”, country boundaries are getting blurred, etc…it would be interesting to see the world in 100years time

I did mention to them that their system of letting the bullies have free reign would quickly become a legal liability. They listened to that. Because I do speak fluent grown-up.

Makes me angry just reading this! I would like to rip the teacher and the principal that is letting this happen new ones! Been there and sure I will be there again. And yet another similarity we share, my doc has to very careful about changing my meds, my body can react in very peculiar ways, no fun!!!

Grar! That kind of “oh, if you behave differently, the bullies will leave you alone” bullshit makes me want to punch people. How about telling the BULLIES to behave differently?!

FWIW, I’m also going through a med change, and just as I’m starting a new job. I hear you on the med-changing suckage. Solidarity among the crazypants!

I remember that podcast! I really liked it. One of the things that touched me most about it is that you seemed to really connect with people, and by extension, that helped me connect with them, too. As people. And really, that’s what I think the internet should be all about: facilitating connection! Opening minds! Showing us folks who are different from us and reminding us that they’re people too!

Plus, it made me think about how I would answer your questions, and any podcast that makes me think is a podcast I give a big thumbs-up.

If you do take a break from email/FB/blog/etc, I definitely would love to hang out with you over lunch and hear about how it goes for you.

Maybe they just mean that you can have your clothes any way you like, so long as it’s, “laundered.”
